Los Angeles, California-Chairman Frank Zerunyan, the Honorable Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Rolling Hills Estates, Betty Jamgotchian, Executive Director of the Armenian Bar Association, along Lisa Boyadjian, the assistant to the Executive Director and past Chairman Vicken Simonian, were on hand to meet, greet and encourage law students at Loyola University School of Law to become members at the school’s annual “Bar Association Fair” on March 8, 2007.
Approximately twenty bar associations participated in the event on a beautiful, sunny Southern California day. The Bar Associations represented included Los Angeles County Bar, Iranian American, Italian American, Mexican American, Korean, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles and many more. While the overall turnout was low, ArmenBar leaders were encouraged.
Loyola Law School has an Armenian student population of approximately 30, and several attended the event. Students signing up for membership were given a gift bag with the Armenbar logo, as well as a membership directory and other goodies.

“We were very pleased with the turnout at our table at the fair,” said Jamgotchian. “The law students we met were bright and engaging. Our current student members are very active in our organization, and we are always willing to show our support,” said Jamgotchian.
Loyola students visiting the ArmenBar table included Maria Shakelian, social affairs committee chair of the Armenian Law Students Association at Loyola, and Lilian Mazian a Loyola law student and member of ArmenBar who coordinated the participation of the Armenian Bar at the event.
